Remove from oven and cool thoroughly on cooling racks until ready to frost.
Once it is done, set aside to cool. Place sugar,vanilla and crisco in a bowl and add cooled milk/flour mixture. Beat with stand mixer until it can stand in a peak.
NOTE: This recipe is for a double batch. I am not allowed to make a single batch in my house! You can easily cut this recipe in half and it will make about 12-16 pies.
