Ingredients

1 c
butter, softened
2-1/2 c
sugar

large eggs
1 Tbsp
vanilla
1/2 tsp
salt
3 c
cake flour, sifted
1/4 tsp
baking soda
1 c
sour cream

Directions Step-By-Step

Cream the butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl until fluffy. (about 3 to 4 minutes)
Add the eggs, one at a time, with the mixer on low, beating well after each addition.(about 10 to 15 minutes)
Add vanilla and mix well.
Sift the dry ingredients into a small bowl. Add flour, baking soda and salt alternately with sour cream.
Half the flour mixture, sour cream, remaining flour mixture.
Stir gently after each addition.

Spoon batter into two greased and floured loaf pans or a greased and floured Bundt pan.
Bake at 325 degrees for about 60 minutes.
Cool for 15 minutes on wire rack; then invert onto rack. Allow cake to cool for another hour. Dust with powdered sugar.
