Vanilla Almond Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Maple Frosting

Ingredients

CUPCAKES

1 c
cake flour
1/2 c
almond meal
1 1/2 tsp
baking powder
1/4 tsp
salt
1 stick
butter, room temperature
2
eggs
1 c
sugar
1/2 tsp
pure vanilla extract
1/2 c
milk

MAPLE CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

4 oz
cream cheese softened
1/2 stick
butter, room temperature
2 c
powdered sugar
1/4 c
maple syrup

Step-By-Step

1Mix flour, almond meal, baking powder and salt. Beat in butter gradually. Beat in sugar thoroughly. Beat in eggs, vanilla and milk until just mixed.
2Pour into lined cupcake pan. Bake at 400'F for 20 minutes, or until toothpick comes out almost clean.
3Frosting:
Mix ingredients with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Frost cooled cupcakes. Drizzle additional Maple Syrup or Maple Cream for presentation (optional)
