I have been making this recipe for over 30 years and now suddenly everybody wants the recipe, hmm.

Ingredients

1 box lemon cake mix
1box yellow cake mix
1box pineapple cake mix (or white cake mix with pineapple juice as the liquid)

Directions Step-By-Step

Combine cake mixes and add ingredients according to the package directions. Bake in cupcake pans with papers for 15 minutes @ 350º.
When cool fill with French Vanilla Filling.



French Vanilla Filling

5 Tablespoons flour
5 Tablespoons sugar
1 cup milk
½ cup butter
½ cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
dash of salt


Combine flour, sugar in saucepan. Add milk and stir until lumps are gone. Cook and stir over medium heat until thick. Cool thoroughly. Cream together the other ingredients and then add milk mixture; beat 5 minutes. Put mixture into dispenser with pointed tip to allow filling to be squirted into cupcakes. Insert tip halfway into top of cupcake and fill cupcakes enough so they won’t break. Recipe will make 80 cupcakes. I usually freeze them so they are handy for the lunch box!
