Sun Drop Cake

Missy Wimpelberg Recipe

By Missy Wimpelberg MWimpelberg

This is a favorite at our company potlucks. If you do not have Sun Drop, you can use Mountain Dew. You can also use orange cake mix, and use Orange Crush for the soda. It is a great addition, as well.

Oh, yea, Missy, Sundrop is great! My husband and I are from middle TN and are from where Sundrop was first produced. It was a staple in our lives and we get it now anytime we can! This cake sounds great, thanks for posting.

Never heard of Sun Drop, so it must be a local thing. Cake sounds good. I will have to try it with Mountain Dew, 7-UP, or Sprite, I guess. Thanks for the post!

Donna, I know I love Sun Drop much better than MD (in my opinion) please try, you will love this cake.
Paula, Mountain Dew will work great, they are just alike. I bet 7-up or Sprite would work too. Let me know if you try one of those. Enjoy.
