Strawberry Upside Down Cake

This recipe comes straight from my mothers kitchen. Can be made with other fruits as well.

Ingredients

1 box
yellow cake mix
1/3 c
canola oil
1 c
water
3
eggs
2 c
strawberries, diced
6 oz
box strawberry gelatin
3 c
marshmallows, mini
whipped creme or ice cream for side

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare sides of 9X13 dish with cooking spray.
2Dice or smash strawberries and place them in bottom of baking dish. Evenly sprinkle gelatin over strawberries.
3Top with marshmallows. Pour batter over marshmallows. Place in preheated oven for 40-50 minutes. Let cake cool for 15 minutes.
4Take a knife and loosen the edges of cake from dish. Invert cake onto a serving tray.
5Serve warm or room temperature with whipped topping or ice cream.
6If you're using a different fruit, make sure to match up the gelatin with the fruit.
