Strawberry Cake Dessert by Patsy Weaver
I made this cake for church and there was not a crumb left. One lady even said, "I want to lick the pan!" (jokingly of course, but she did scrap the pan with a spoon) Needless to say it was well liked! If you are on a diet or have diabetes this cake is not for you - sorry.
- 1 box
- strawberry cake mix, bake by box directions with eggs, oil and water listed on box, cool
- 1 can(s)
- strawberry frosting
- 1 lb
- strawberries, in freezer section, thawed
- 1 large
- bowl of cool whip, softened
1Make the strawberry cake by the directions on the box with the eggs, oil and water added to it. Bake in a 13 X 9 inch pan. Cool. When the cake is cool smear on strawberry frosting. Punch holes in the cake and pour the thawed strawberries and the juice over the cake. Rotate pan from side to side to allow juice to get to all edges. Last spread on the cool whip. Keep in refrigerator.
