Heat oven to 350 degrees. Combine the spice cake mix, butter and egg. Mix well and press into a greased 13"x9"pan.
In a small bowl, combine milk, vanilla and egg. Beat until well blended. Stir in 1 cup coconut, pecans and chocolate chips. Spread over spice cake mixture. Spinkle remaining 1/3 cup coconut on top. Bake 30-40 minutes. Center may appear loose, but will set on cooling.
