- small palm of salt
- yeast , add 1 packett to luke warm water
- crisco as above the 3 finger scoops
1I add 5 lb flour in a huge pot, and the small palm of salt, i used like a lobster pot.its just a pot family has always used
3 finger fulls 3 scoops with ya hand crisco
add to the flour, mix up while waiting for yeast to get active
Start putting in yeast to the warm water ,add 1 tsp of sugar, Let stand a good 10 minutes.
Now if its doubled in size add to flour mixture
Then get ready to mix with your hands and just keep turning mixing for about 10 to 15 min untill your dough seems to come together. Then cover and put in a warm area
maybe for a good 7 to 8 hours Mine didnt take that long as i had it on stairs by my woodstove so it got warm really in 6 hours.
Then after that geets close to top of your pot turn it out on floured surface and work it for about 5/8 minutes.
Then use crisco to grease your bread pans and divide your dough up and put them in your bread pans ,mine made 5.. let it rise maybe another 2 hours. When it gets a good height to it just so it comes over the bread pan about half inch.pop into 375 oven for 45 to 50 minutes.ENJOY
