Ingredients

1 c oil
2
eggs
2 c
sugar
1 1/4 c
banana (3) -- mashed
1 c
buttermilk
3 c
flour
1 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
baking powder
1 1/2 tsp
salt
1 tsp
vanilla extract
FROSTING FOR BANANA CAKE
6 oz
cream cheese
6 Tbsp
butter, room temperature
pinch of salt
1 tsp
vanilla extract
2 c
2 c powdered sugar
1/2 c
walnuts -- chopped corse

Directions Step-By-Step

Mix first four ingredients together. Sift together flour, soda, baking powder, & salt. Add alternately with buttermilk. Add vanilla. Pour into a greased 9X13 inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees for approx 45 minutes. Cool. Mix Frosting ingredients except nuts. Mix to spreading consistency. Frost cooled cake. Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
