MOIST BANANA CAKE

GREAT CAKE FOR CHURCH DINNERS. NEEDS REFRIGERATION.

Ingredients

1 c oil
2
eggs
2 c
sugar
1 1/4 c
banana (3) -- mashed
1 c
buttermilk
3 c
flour
1 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
baking powder
1 1/2 tsp
salt
1 tsp
vanilla extract
FROSTING FOR BANANA CAKE
6 oz
cream cheese
6 Tbsp
butter, room temperature
pinch of salt
1 tsp
vanilla extract
2 c
2 c powdered sugar
1/2 c
walnuts -- chopped corse

Directions Step-By-Step

Mix first four ingredients together. Sift together flour, soda, baking powder, & salt. Add alternately with buttermilk. Add vanilla. Pour into a greased 9X13 inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees for approx 45 minutes. Cool. Mix Frosting ingredients except nuts. Mix to spreading consistency. Frost cooled cake. Sprinkle with chopped nuts.

This is the most delicious cake ever!
The cream cheese frosting just makes it over the top good.
Always get rave reviews when I make this. 5 stars good!

I made this yesterday, and we love it! it's very moist and rich. The frosting I used was what I had made up in the fridge, but next time I make it I am making yours, that sounds delish too.
