1Pour lemon juice over mangoes and let stand 15 minutes.
2Melt 1 tablespoon butter in 8 inch cake pan or casserole. (Do not use iron skillet as mangoes will darken.)
3Add brown sugar and cover with mango slices.
4To prepare cake batter, cream butter; add sugar and cream; add beaten egg.
5Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk; pour over mangoes and bake 50 to 60 minutes at 375.
6When cake is done, turn upside down and serve while warm.
