Mamma's Pound Cake

My grandma (Mamma) made this cake every holiday in the year and I wanted to skip the dinner to eat it! It's the best pound cake you have ever tasted!

Ingredients

1/2 lb
butter
1 Tbsp
crisco shortening
2 c
cake flour
6
eggs
1 tsp
pure vanilla extract or lemon extract
2 c
sugar

Directions Step-By-Step

Cream butter and sugar and add eggs, one at a time.

Add vanilla and a dash of salt.

Slowly add flour. Bake in well greased and floured loaf pans ( use crisco for this) at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Test if needed and cook a little longer if not done.
