"HONIGKOCK"a DUTCH BUTTER CAKE From a Penn.1968 Church Cookbook
Nancy J. Patrykus
I had noted on the book, that I had purchased this cook book in 1980 at a garage sale in Ohio, of all places!
On my way to Niagara Falls we stopped at a restaurant to eat, and across the street was this garage sale.... Whoopee!!
I am always looking for old cook books!
Now add the last four ingredients together and mix well.
Combine both mixes.
Put in 2 greased and floured, 9x5x3 pans.
Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour, or till done.
Delicious,cut into slices,toasted and buttered.
Honey helps to keeps this cake moist.
It is like a fruitcake,it improves if kept in a cool place and tightly covered.
