1 container of chocolate yogurt (you can also use vanilla or cherry)
your choice of topping, fluffy cherry almond frosting (recipe included) chocolate frosting or additional cherry pie filling
FLUFFY CHERRY ALMOND FROSTING
1 can fluffy white frosting
cherry juice from pie filling
1Line muffin tins with paper liners
2Pour cake mix into a large bowl
3Add eggs, water, oil, and yogurt
4Using mixer beat on medium speed until all is well blended
5Fill paper liners half way with batter
6Add one nice size teaspoon of pie filling to each, then top off with remaining cake batter
7Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until done. (cherries will sink into cupcakes but not totally disappear)
8Allow cupcakes to cool completely
9Remove cupcakes and frost as desired.
10Fluffy cherry almond frosting. Add heaping spoons of cherry pie filling juice to fluffy icing in a bowl.
11Stir until well blended, tasting for desired cherry flavor, and added more filling as needed)
12Add almond extract and stir till blended.
13I also topped some with a fudge frosting
14And since the tops sink in a bit, i scooped a bit of the cake out of the center of some cupcakes and filled with additional pie filling as the topping
