Death by Chocolate Cake

I adopted this one and made a few changes. The cake is like an earthquake cake and very rich. I added the optional icings. They both are good with the cake but make it even more rich.
The photo is without icing.

Ingredients

CAKE INGREDIENTS

1 pkg
german chocolate cake mix
8 oz
cream cheese softened
1 stick
butter, softened
1 lb
powdered sugar
1 c
chopped pecans
1 c
coconut
1 tsp
vanilla
6 oz
semi-sweet chocolate chips (opt)

ICING I (OPTIONAL)

1 pt
whipping cream (you don't have to use it all)
1/2 stick
margarine
1 lb
powdered sugar
1/2 tsp
lemon juice concentrate

ICING II (OPTIONAL)

1 c
sugar
1/2 c
milk
5 Tbsp
margarine
6 oz
semi-sweet chocolate chips

Step-By-Step

1Cake Directions:
2Grease and flour 9x13 cake pan.
3Put coconut and pecans in bottom of pan.
4Mix cake mix according to directions on box. If using chocolate chips, stir into cake batter.
5Pour over nuts and coconut.
6Mix cream cheese, butter, vanilla & powdered sugar.
7Drop by spoonfuls on top of cake.
8Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until done.
9Optional Icing I Directions:
10Melt butter and add to box of powdered sugar.
11Add lemon juice.
12Slowly add whipping creme.
13Pour over warm cake. (Cool cake for about 20 minutes)
14Optional Icing II Directions:
15Combine sugar, butter and milk. Boil for 1 minute.
16Remove from heat and add chocolate chips.
17Pour over warm cake. (Cool cake for about 20 minutes)
