Ingredients

1 2/3 c all purpose flour
1 c brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp all spice
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 c applesauce
1/4 c sour cream
1/3 c vegetable oil
1 Tbsp lemon juice
carmael glaze recipe follows
1/2 c chopped toasted walnuts
12 popsicle sticks
CARMEL GLAZE
20 carmels
1 Tbsp milk
x1

Directions

Comnine flour, sugar, spices, soda and salt in a mixing bowl

stir in applesauce, sourcream, oil and lemon juice

pour into muffin pans fitted with paper liners

bake 20 minutes in a preheated oven of 350

let cool completely on a wire rack

Spread carmel glaze over the tops and insert sticks upright in the center of each.

Garnish rim of each cake with nuts for the carmel apple dipped in nuts look. to make more festive tie a small ribbon bow around each stick

Why does the kitchen crew totally change the look of the original recipe??
Yes, it does look like a "caramel apple cupcake"...but looks nothing like Darla's cupcake of her recipe.
