This delicate coffee cake brings back childhood memories of enjoying crumb cakes with my family at the breakfast table. The additions of pecans in this recipe is a wonderful treat... and a must-try!

Ingredients

beaten egg
1/2 c
sugar
1/2 c
milk
2 Tbsp
melted shortening
1 c
flour
2 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
salt

TOPPING:

1/4 c
brown sugar
1 tsp
cinnamon
1 Tbsp
flour
1 Tbsp
melted butter
1/2 c
broken nuts

Step-By-Step

1Combine egg, sugar, milk, and shortening. Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Pour into an 8x8 baking pan. Sprinkle with the topping mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Enjoy!
