FOR THE BATTER :
FOR THE TOPPING :
Scald the milk and add butter.
Beat eggs well in a mixing bowl and add sugar and mix.
Sift together : flour , salt , baking powder ; Add to the egg mixture ; Add the milk and butter last.
Pour into a ungreased layer pan.
Bake @ 325° for 35 minutes.
For the topping : Warm together brown sugar , butter and cream. Spread on hot cake and sprinkle with fresh coconut and return to the oven for 5 minutes ; Serve Warm.
