Ingredients
- 1 - 12 oz packages semi sweet chocolate pieces
- 1 stick butter, room temperature
- 6 x large eggs, separated
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons corn starch
- 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
How To Make chocolate mousse cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Spray a 9" springform pan with cooking spray; dust lightly with cornstarch.

Step 2Combine chocolate & water in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, just until chocolate melts. Pour into large bowl; cool to room temperature.

Step 3Beat egg whites until foamy in a medium bowl with mixer at high speed. Gradually add sugar, beating until soft peaks form. Add egg yolks to chocolate mixture; stir until blended. Stir in cornstarch.

Step 4Fold egg whites into chocolate mixture until thoroughly blended. Pour into prepared pan.

Step 5Bake 40 - 45 minutes or until set. Run a knife around the edge immediately after removing from oven.

Step 6Cool on a wire rack. Remove side of pan. Sprinkle top with confectioners' sugar.
