Ingredients

1 c
boiling water
3 oz
unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c
sweet butter
1 tsp
vanilla extract
2 c
sugar

eggs, separated
1 tsp
baking soda
1/2 c
sour cream
2 c
less 2 tablespoons flour
1 tsp
baking powder
ICING INGREDIENTS
2 Tbsp
butter
1/4 c
semi-sweet chocolate chips
6 Tbsp
heavy cream
1.25 c
confectioners' sugar
1 tsp
vanilla extract

Directions

Chop up chocolate, butter and put them in boiling water, melting them.

Add vanilla, sugar, egg yolks, baking powder, flour, baking soda and sour cream.

Fold in egg whites.

Put in tube pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes.

Frost cake with icing.

For icing: combine all ingredients and cook on low heat.

Stir constantly.

Cool, icing will thicken as it cools.

Frost top of cake and let icing drizzle down sides.
