- (18.5oz)devils food cake mix without pudding
- 1 pkg
- (8oz) cream cheese..room temp
- 2/3 c
- packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp
- 1/8 tsp
- 2 c
- whipping cream...whipped (1 pint)
- 2 Tbsp
- grated semi-sweet chocolate
1Mix and bake cake mix according to directions on package,using 2-9" cake pans. Cool 15 minutes,remove from pans to cooling racks.
2In a mixing bowl,beat cream cheese,sugar,vanilla and salt until fluffy.Fold in whipped cream.
3Split each cake into 2 horizontal layers.
Place 1 on a serving plate(brush crumbs off sides lightly)Spread with 1/4 of cream mixture.Sprinkle with 1/4 of grated chocolate. Repeat layers ending with cream mixture. Sprinkle with grated chocolate.(Anchor with toothpicks between layers)
4Cover and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.
