Ingredients
| 2 stk | butter softened |
| 1 tsp | cinnamon |
| 1 Tbsp | grated orange rind |
| 3 tsp | baking powder |
| 3 c | flour |
| 1 1/2 c | grated carrots |
| 2/3 c | chopped pecans |
| 2 c | sugar |
| 1/2 tsp | nutmeg |
| 4 | eggs |
| 1/2 tsp | salt |
| 1/3 c | fresh orange juice |

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour tube pan. Cream butter and sugar. Add spices and orange rind. Beat eggs well in a seperate bowl. Add to butter and sugar.Sift flour, salt and baking powder and to the batter alternately with the orange juice.Fold in carrots and pecans. Bake 1 hr or until tests done. Cool and turn out. Dust confectioners sugar, if desired, or spread with cream cheese frosting.
