Ingredients

1 3/4 c
brown sugar, lightly packed
3/4 c
sugar
6 Tbsp
butter, softened
2
eggs
2 c
flour, all purpose
1/2 tsp
nutmeg
1/4 tsp
salt
2 tsp
cinnamon
2 tsp
baking soda
5
granny smith apples, cut in small cubes of equal size
4 Tbsp
butter
1/2 c
brown sugar, lightly packed
1/2 c
whipping cream
1/2 c
sugar

Step-By-Step

1Mix sugars, melted butter and eggs.

2Add remaining dry ingredients. Dough will be thick, resembling a cookie batter.

3Peel and chop apples and add to batter, stirring just until mixed.

4Spread into a greased 9X13 pan. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes.

5Shortly before the cake is done baking add the remaining 4 Tbs butter, sugars and whipping cream to sauce pan on medium heat.Make sure to stir frequently until slightly thick.Becareful not to burn it.

6Pour sauce over warm cake slices. Cake is best served warm.
