Black and Tan Cake

This is a deep dark chocolate cake. The frosting is a peanut butter frosting that goes really well with the cake. Any type of frosting goes good on this cake. We like the peanut butter frosting. I make this in my jellyroll pan but, you can use a 9 X 13 inch cake pan.

Ingredients

2 c
flour
2 c
sugar
1 c
cocoa powder
2 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
salt
10 Tbsp
oil
2
beaten eggs
1 tsp
vanilla extract
2 c
hot not boiling water

PEANUT BUTTER FROSTING

1 stick
butter
1/2 c
peanut butter
6 Tbsp
milk
4 c
powdered suagr

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9x13 pan. You can also use a jelly roll pan.
2Mix all Dry ingredients
3Add the wet ingredients and mix well with a wire whip. Batter will be very soupy.
4Pour into pan and bake for 25-35 minutes or until Toot pick comes out clean.
5Cool and frost with your favorite Frosting
6PEANUT BUTTER FROSTING
7Bring Butter, Peanut butter and milk to a boil in saucepan.
8In mixing bowl place 4 cups of powdered sugar. Pour in peanut butter mixture and mix well.If frosting to thin add more powdered sugar or if too thick add small amount of milk.
9Frost cake and enjoy
