Sift together flour, baking soda,and salt and set aside. Cream Crisco and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in vanilla, then flour mixture alternately with bananas. Dredge the pecans and dates in 1/4 cup flour and fold in. Pour into a greased and floured loaf pan and bake at 325 degrees for around 45 minutes. Delicious plain or with cream cheese.
