Banana Date Bread

I found this in an article in our newspaper about What to do with brown Bananas. I tried it, and it is very good. I sometimes have trouble with my Banana Bread falling apart when I slice it, but this bread held up great.

pinch tips: Perfect Bacon Every Time



1/2 c
butter (no substitutions
1/2 c
1/2 c
firmly packed light brown sugar
large eggs
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1 1/4 c
mashed, ripe bananas
1 tsp
ground cinnamon
2 c
self rising flour
1/2 c
dates, chopped
1/2 c
chopped pecans

Directions Step-By-Step

Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour a 9x5x3 loaf pan. Cream together the butter, sugar,and brown sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, and bananas. Beat until just mixed. Add cinnamon and flour. Beat until mixed. Stir in dates and pecans
Pour into pan. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into center of bread. Turn out of pan immediately onto rack. Great enjoyed while still warm with butter.
