Awesome Chocolate Cake

This cake is very moist, rich & decadent. The coffee really intensifies the chocolate flavor & sends it over the top. I frosted mine with a chocolate buttercream.

Ingredients

2 c
sugar
1 3/4 c
all purpose flour
3/4 c
unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 tsp
baking powder
1 1/2 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
salt
2 large
eggs
1 c
whole milk
1/2 c
vegetable oil
2 tsp
vanilla extract
1 c
very hot brewed coffee

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour an 9x13 cake pan or two 9 inch round cake pans.

2In a large bowl, stir together all the dry ingredients. Add the eggs, milk, oil, & vanilla & mix for 2 minutes with electric mixer on medium speed.

3Stir in the very hot coffee last. Batter will be thin.

4Pour evenly into prepared pan(s) & bake 30-35 minutes in preheated oven until toothpick in center comes out clean. (Round layers: cool in pans for 10 minutes and then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.) Once cooled, frost with frosting of choice & enjoy!
