Apple Dapple Cake

This is a personal favorite of mine.

It is very moist and delicious. You can glaze it or frost it, but it is good without icing.

You can also add coconut, raisins or any other desired fruit or nut combinations you'd like.

Ingredients

1-1/2 c
wesson oil
2 c
sugar
3 large
eggs
3 c
all-purpose flour
1 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
salt
1 c
pecans, chopped
3 c
raw apples, peeled and chopped
2 tsp
vanilla

GLAZE

1 c
dark brown sugar, firmly packed
1 stick
butter or margarine
1/4 c
evaporated milk
1 tsp
vanilla

Step-By-Step

1Cream together the Wesson oil, sugar and eggs until light and fluffy. Set aside.

2Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture; mix well. Fold in apples, pecans and vanilla. Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

3Bring brown sugar, butter and evaporated milk to a boil, stirring constantly until everything is melted and slightly thickened. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Spread on Apple Dapple Cake.
