- CAKE:

1/2 cbutter, softened

1 csugar

1egg
-
1 tspbaking soda

1/4 tspsalt

1 tspcinnamon

1/2 tspnutmeg

1/2 tspvanilla

1 call purpose flour

2 1/2 capples, granny smith, finely chopped

1/2 cpecans, chopped
- HOT CARAMEL SAUCE:

1/2 cbutter
-
1 cbrown sugar
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
1 tspvanilla
-
1/2 cevaporated milk
How To Make apple cake with caramel sauce

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, cream the butter. Add sugar and beat until fluffy.

2Add the egg and beat until well blended.

3Mix in the baking soda, salt, cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg.

4Add the flour and mix just until blended. Stir in the apples and nuts.

5Pour into a greased and floured 9-inch cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 mins. or until test done.

6SAUCE: In a saucepan melt butter, brown sugar and salt. Bring to a boil.

7Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla and milk. Serve warm over cake.
