I was given this recipe from a friend in the late 70's and we just called it Chocolate Sheet cake. You can also pour batter into a deep cookie sheet pan and reduce cook time to about 15 to 20 min. You do need to double the icing ingredients if you do this. One of the most appreciated desserts for a family or group gathering. Bake and prep cake the day before an event, then cover with aluminum foil and let set in sun for about 15 to 20 minutes still covered prior to serving, and it is like it was just made. I use my Kitchen Aid mixer for the icing as my arm strength is limited, works wonderfully well. My family loves this cake.
