Ingredients For indonesian peanut sauce

2 tsppeanut oil

1/4 cshallot, minced (1/4 cup, you can also use red onion)

1 clovegarlic, minced

3/4 tspred pepper flakes (or to taste)

1/2 ccreamy peanut butter

1/2 clight coconut milk
-
1 Tbsplow sodium soy sauce

2 tspdark brown sugar
-
2 tspfresh lime juice
-
1/2 cwater
How To Make indonesian peanut sauce

1Heat Oil in saucepan over medium-low heat. Saute shallot in oil 2 minutes, until just starting tosoften.

2Add garlic and red pepper flakes, and cook until fragrant. That will take less than 2 mins Whisk in peanut butter, coconut milk, soy sauce, brown sugar, and 1/2 cup water until smooth and bring to a low boil.

3Simmer about 5 minutes then stir in lime juice. This can be enjoyed hot or at room temperature as you prefer.
