1Beat egg and stir in the honey. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda.
To the dry ingredients, stir in the egg mixture and the buttermilk. Don't over stir, just until all dry ingredients are moistened.
2In a well greased, hot skillet or griddle, scoop 1/4 - 1/3 cup of batter - depending on how big you want your cakes. I usually use 1/3 cup. Cook on first side for a couple minutes or until edges and top are developing bubbles. Flip to other side and cook another minute or until cooked through.
