Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Cut up butter into 9x11 baking dish, place in oven.
While butter is melting (DO NOT BURN!!).... beat eggs. Stir in flour. Add milk and salt.
Pour batter into hot, bubbling butter dish
Bake 20 minutes or until sides rise and crust is golden brown. Remove from oven, cut into 6-8 pieces and serve immediately.
Top with fresh fruit, powdered sugar or syrup.
