Orange and Apple breakfast knots

- 4 medium granny smith apples
- 2 pkg. refrigerated breadsticks, 11 oz. each
- 2 navel oranges
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1Unroll bread stick dough; cut strips in half. Put 3 to 4 apple slices in middle of each strip of dough. wrap and tie in a knot. arrange knots in a 9 x 13 inch pan.
2Grate 1 tsp. of orange peel; set aside. Juice the oranges; pout 2/3 cup juice into bottom of pan but not over the knots. In a small bowl, mix grated peel, sugar and cinnamon. Spoon over the knots. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or til golden brown. Serve warm with a drizzle of syrup from pan. Makes 12 servings, or 24 knots.
