Cinnamon French Toast with Fruit and Pecans

|2 cups baking mix, such as bisquick|
|1 1/2 cups water|
|1 tsp. vanilla extract|
|1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon|
|2 tbsp. butter|
|2 tbsp. vegetable oil|
|8 cinnamon bread slices|
|2 bananas, sliced|
|1/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted|
Whisk together baking ix, 1 1/2 cups water, vanilla and cinnamon. Melt 1/2 Tbsp. butter in 1/2 Tbsp. oil in large skillet over medium heat. Dip 2 bread slices in batter and put in skillet. Cook 2 to 3 minutes on each side or til golden. Repeat procedure with remaining butter, oil, batter and bread slices.
Top French toast with fruit and pecans. Serve with your favorite syrup. Makes 4 servings.
