My Mother fixed Bread Cakes for breakfast. It was my favorite breakfast meal. I have recreated the recipe from memory. It is a great recipe for using up stale bread (heels and left over bread).
Make some bread cakes for breakfast and serve with butter and syrup. YUM!

This recipe is from my mother. Her family made this for breakfast during the depression. I grew up eating this and love it.
