I purchased a Waring Belgian Waffle maker last year after using one at the hotel I cook for. I wanted a real professional kind for home use. I have searched and searched for a good recipe because at the hotel we use commercial mix and it's the best. But finding a recipe to match it wasn't easy. But I did it! It's the fluffiest waffle with just a hint of crispiness on the outside. I am also including my recipe for honeybutter and strawberry sauce to use on the waffle.

Ingredients

2 cups bisquick
1 1/3 cup whole milk or buttermilk
1 egg
2 tablespoon vegetable oil
STRAWBERRY SAUCE FOR WAFFLE
1 average bag unsweetended strawberries, sliced
1 can strawberry pie filling
WHEN STRAWBERRIES ARE ROOM TEMP, MIX WITH FILLING. SWEETEN A LITTLE MORE, IF NECESSARY WITH SUGAR.
HONEY BUTTER FOR WAFFLE
2 sticks softened butter
1 8oz. whipped cream cheese
1/2 to 1 cup honey (to taste)
1/4 cup brown sugar
STIR EVERYTHING UNTIL SMOOTH

Directions Step-By-Step

1
In large batter bowl, whisk all batter ingredients until smooth. (I quadruple this recipe for a crowd). Follow the waffle maker direction.
2
NOTE: With the cream cheese in the butter and the strawberry sauce on this great waffle, you have a wonderful marriage of flavors.

I don't have a Belgian Waffle maker and want to purchase one. What is the model number of the one you bought? Thanks!

Love this recipe as I posted before. I did notice that the taste was more of a pancake so I did adjust a bit. I added more milk to thin a bit and added a sprinkle of sugar into the mix. Then I let it sit for about 20 minutes. That part was accidental as my granddaughter was over and I had to take a break. When I came back the batter was a little bubbly and I had the lightest, fluffiest, crispiest waffles!

Too funny! I am waiting for my Waring Pro to be delivered and was cruising for a batter recipe when I came across yours. Wow you are my kind of woman. I love Bisquick! You can do so many things with it. I am on pins and needles waiting for my delivery to try this. Thank you so much for posting!
