JANE's Story

I purchased a Waring Belgian Waffle maker last year after using one at the hotel I cook for. I wanted a real professional kind for home use. I have searched and searched for a good recipe because at the hotel we use commercial mix and it's the best. But finding a recipe to match it wasn't easy. But I did it! It's the fluffiest waffle with just a hint of crispiness on the outside. I am also including my recipe for honeybutter and strawberry sauce to use on the waffle.

Ingredients

2 cups bisquick
1 1/3 cup whole milk or buttermilk
1 egg
2 tablespoon vegetable oil
STRAWBERRY SAUCE FOR WAFFLE
1 average bag unsweetended strawberries, sliced
1 can strawberry pie filling
WHEN STRAWBERRIES ARE ROOM TEMP, MIX WITH FILLING. SWEETEN A LITTLE MORE, IF NECESSARY WITH SUGAR.
HONEY BUTTER FOR WAFFLE
2 sticks softened butter

1 8oz. whipped cream cheese
1/2 to 1 cup honey (to taste)
1/4 cup brown sugar
STIR EVERYTHING UNTIL SMOOTH

Directions Step-By-Step

1
In large batter bowl, whisk all batter ingredients until smooth. (I quadruple this recipe for a crowd). Follow the waffle maker direction.
2
NOTE: With the cream cheese in the butter and the strawberry sauce on this great waffle, you have a wonderful marriage of flavors.

    Hi Jane,
I too have that Waring Pro waffle maker and it is GREAT. I am so glad to have this recipe you posted, thank you. It makes just enough batter for a few waffles and the strawberry sauce and the honey butter recipes are an added bonus. I have them saved and already printed out. I'll be making them soon.

I am in the market to buy a Belgian Waffle Maker. I purchased a Black and Decker Wafle Maker recently and was sorely dissapointed, and ended up returning it to the store for a refund. This Double Waring Pro Belgian Waffle Maker is the very one that I have been considering for purchase thru Amazon. Please tell me more about this waffle maker- the reviews on Amazon are mixed! Thank you very much!

I worked as Manager of a hotel's kitchen and we used professional waffle makers. THey were terrific. Of course, I wanted one for my own home that worked just as good. I got this waffle maker from the Viking Store in Tennessee as part of my winnings for justapinch contest. I am in LOVE with it. It works everytime....easy! Use this recipe above and you will never go wrong.
