6 9 inch waffles
JANE's StoryI purchased a Waring Belgian Waffle maker last year after using one at the hotel I cook for. I wanted a real professional kind for home use. I have searched and searched for a good recipe because at the hotel we use commercial mix and it's the best. But finding a recipe to match it wasn't easy. But I did it! It's the fluffiest waffle with just a hint of crispiness on the outside. I am also including my recipe for honeybutter and strawberry sauce to use on the waffle.
2 cups bisquick
1 1/3 cup whole milk or buttermilk
2 tablespoon vegetable oil
STRAWBERRY SAUCE FOR WAFFLE
1 average bag unsweetended strawberries, sliced
1 can strawberry pie filling
WHEN STRAWBERRIES ARE ROOM TEMP, MIX WITH FILLING. SWEETEN A LITTLE MORE, IF NECESSARY WITH SUGAR.
HONEY BUTTER FOR WAFFLE
2 sticks softened butter
1 8oz. whipped cream cheese
1/2 to 1 cup honey (to taste)
1/4 cup brown sugar
STIR EVERYTHING UNTIL SMOOTH
1In large batter bowl, whisk all batter ingredients until smooth. (I quadruple this recipe for a crowd). Follow the waffle maker direction.
2NOTE: With the cream cheese in the butter and the strawberry sauce on this great waffle, you have a wonderful marriage of flavors.
