Aunt Gina's French Toast

My Aunt Gina makes the best French toast! Not only are they very good, but they are easy peasy!
Best made with the thicker bread, like Texas Toast.
These are flavorful enough that they taste great even without syrup. We usually just butter them, and sometimes add a sprinkling of powdered sugar.
Double or triple ingredients as desired.

Ingredients

1/2 stick
butter
1 Tbsp
honey

eggs, beaten
1/4 c
milk
1 tsp
vanilla extract

bread slices, thick, like texas toast

Directions Step-By-Step

Melt the butter in a skillet. To the melted butter, add and melt the honey.

Beat together the eggs, milk and vanilla extract.

Dip the bread slices into the egg mixture to coat well. Gently fry in the butter/honey mixture until golden on both sides. Serve and enjoy!
