1Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a large such as an (11 x 17") baking sheet with sides with aluminum foil. For a ridged look, crumple the foil first. Then arrange the bacon leaving a little space between slices. Sprinkle slices with crushed black peppercorn or brown sugar, if desired.
2Cook the bacon for 10 minutes and turn with tongs or a fork. Return to oven and bake another 10-15 minutes for crispy bacon. Remove from oven and drain on paper towels.
