Canadian Bacon Upside Down Cake

can pineapple rings, drained
package cornbread mix
ingredients for preparing cornbread as listed on package
In a 10 inch cast iron skillet melt butter over low heat. Remove from heat.
Drain pineapple slices on paper towels.
Arrange 1 ring in center of skillet. Arrange the remaining pineapple around the edge.
Layer bacon over pineapple slices, overlapping if necessary.
Prepare cornbread mix and spoon over bacon and pineapple.
Cover and cook over medium heat 15-18 minutes or until test done.
Cut into wedges. Serve warm with maple syrup.
