Ingredients For bananas foster french toast

  • 2 c
    whole milk
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 4 Tbsp
    cinnamon, ground
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 7 slice
    bread
  • 6 c
    crushed captain crunch cereal
  • 4
    bananas or plantains
  • 1 pkg
    caramel melts
  • 1/2 c
    heavy whipping cream
  • 1 can
    whipped cream, sweetened
  • 1 can
    pam cooking spray

How To Make bananas foster french toast

    In a glass dish add your milk,eggs,cinnamon,nutmeg,and vanilla and whisk together and set aside. Put your captain crunch in a sandwich bag and using a rolling pin crunch the cereal and put into a plate and set aside. Peel your bananas or plantains and cut into slices and set aside. Turn your griddle on to 350 and heavily spray with your pam cooking spray and let it get hot.Take your slice of bread and soak it in your milk mixture and then coat both sides with the captain crunch cereal and place on the griddle and brown on both sides. Once you have done this for all of your bread slices set aside and on the stove melt down your caramel melts and heavy whipping cream together until smooth. In a small skillet add some oil and lightly saute your bananas or plantains until they are a golden brown.

    On a plate place your french toast and then add some of your golden bananas on top and then top with your caramel sauce and top with whip cream. Add bacon, eggs and hash browns and enjoy.
