A real comfort food For those cool fall mornings or a late night snack when you want to relax and unwind. May be made the day before and reheated.

Ingredients

3 medium
apples, granny smith or a mixture of sweet and tart) cored, peeled and chopped
2 c
apple cider
1 c
water
1 tsp
lemon peel
1/8 c
sugar
1/2 tsp
cinnamon
1/4 tsp
nutmeg
1 tsp
vanilla extract

Step-By-Step

1place all ingredients into large sauce pan and cook until apples are mushy, about 40-45 minutes
2remove from heat and puree in blender at low speed until smooth
3Serve hot with a swirl of whipped cream or vanilla yogurt.
