EASY AWESOME BREAKFAST STACK

frozen hash brown potato patty
plus 1 teaspoon extra-sharp cheddar cheese, divided
butter or bacon grease (for frying egg)
(heaping) real bacon bits
fresh minced chives
sea salt and/or ground black pepper to taste
Gather and prep ingredients; preheat toaster oven.
Bake hash brown patty according to package instructions for toaster oven.
In the last couple of minutes before hash brown patty is finished baking, melt butter or grease in a small nonstick skillet over medium heat.
When hash brown is finished baking, sprinkle with 1/2 tablespoon cheese; set toaster oven to warm; return patty to oven.
Break egg, pour into prepared skillet; cook over medium/ medium-high heat for 1 1/2 minutes; using egg turner, flip egg over, cook for 30 seconds; remove from heat.
Immediately remove patty from oven and place on serving plate.
Slide fried egg onto patty; sprinkle with salt and/or pepper to taste.
Sprinkle remaining 1 teaspoon cheese, bacon bits and chives on top of egg.
Garnish as desired; serve immediately.
