Caramel Souffle French Toast

I love french toast and looking for different ways to make it. This is one of my favorites and its simple too.

Ingredients

1 stick
butter, unsalted
1 c
brown sugar, light
2 Tbsp
corn syrup, light
8 slice
white bread with crusts removed
5
eggs
1 1/2 c
half and half
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1/2 tsp
salt
2 tsp
orange liqueur(optional)

Directions Step-By-Step

Melt butter, brown sugar and cornn syrup in a saucepan over medium heat; stirring until smooth. Pour into a 9"x13" baking dish.

Arrange bread slices in a single layer over sugar mixture.

In a medium bowl, whisk together remaining ingredients until well combined and pour over the bread. Cover and refrigerate at least 9 hours or over night.

When ready to bake, bring souffle to room temperature and bake in a preheated 350'F oven for 35-40 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
