Bonnie's Notes:

PIZZA FOR BREAKFAST? YOU BET!

Comments from the Test Kitchen: Kitchen Crew

I am always looking for different ways to prepare breakfast for my family and this one is a keeper. It was a hit in our house. More bacon would jazz it up a bit as would some jalapeno peppers for those who like it spicy. There are so many ways you could make it your own... Have fun!

Directions

1
PREHEAT OVEN TO 375. ON A NON-STICK COOKIE SHEET, PREPARE PIZZA CRUST ACCORDING TO PACKAGE DIRECTIONS. (IF YOU BAKE IT FIRST FOR 5 MINUTES, IT'LL BE CRISPER ON THE BOTTOM.) SPRINKLE SAUSAGE AND BACON OVER CRUST.
2
SPRINKLE WITH HASH BROWNS AND CHEDDAR CHEESE. MEANWHILE, IN A MIXING BOWL, COMBINE EGGS, MILK, SALT, AND BLACK PEPPER. POUR OVER POTATOES AND CHEDDAR CHEESE. BAKE FOR 20 MINUTES OR UNTIL CRUST IS GOLDEN BROWN.

I use a cookie sheet with sides (keeps the egg from running out). Forgot to put that in the recipe. Sorry.

I tried this recipe this morning - smelled delicious; looked yummy; but tasted terribly bland and dry . My pizza-loving kids took a bite and wouldn't eat it.
I'm thinking about beating sour cream or cream cheese with the eggs

After trying my fist egg bake for Christmas morning (just a few days ago)..and it wasn't enjoyed by any of us, (it was all to fluffy for us) this pizza looks more likely to win my 3 kids over. I plan on using chopped ham as we don't enjoy sausage...thanks for the simple idea. This will be my very first recipe...I am a new JAP member. ;D
