When the weather gets warm and I don't want to fire up the stove. I like to out together a little platter of goodies! The combination of Cheese, Fruit, Veggies , Cinnamon Bread and even a little bit of "meat". Add your favorite cup-o-joe and your in business!
1Make sure you have a nice sharp knife and cutting board. Wash the Sweet Mini Peppers. Cut off the ends, remove the seeds. And slice Juliane style. Place on your favorite platter.
2Get your favorite, hard cheese. I fell in love with an Estate Gouda. It's nice, buttery flavor works wonderful.Using a 16 oz slice; cut in half. Remove the outer wax. Slice in bite size pieces. Place on platter next to your Peppers.
3Next, cold cut of choice. I like to use Hickory Farms Summer Sausage. For those of you who like a healthier choice; they do offer a "Turkey" Sausage. But meats such as Prosciutto, Braunschweiger, Pastrami or even Olive loaf. Any kind of Cold cut meat will work. Slice in enough for 4 slices per person. Place on platter.
4Next; your fruit. I like to use Banana's. But any other kind of "non-juicey" fruit will do. I don't like to use fruit's with lots of "juice", only because it makes a mess of my platter. Cut the (chosen) fruit and place on platter.
5If you are lucky enough to be able to have enjoyed a "Sin Dawg" Cinnamon Roll; you know what pure heaven is. But, if you are unable to find "Sin Dawg" in your area, any kind of bread will do. Even a nice Dark Sweet Wheat, a sourdough or a Dark Rye is nice. Slice and place on platter.
6Serve with your favorite morning cup-o-whatever…coffee, latte', juice or even a nice cold glass of milk. Enjoy!
