Bacon N Cornmeal Fried Mush
- 1 1/2 c
- yellow corn meal or can use white
- 1 tsp
- kosher salt
- 3 1/2 c
- 8 slice
- bacon, cooked and crumbled
- for serving
- or bacon grease for frying
Once boiling, whisking constantly, slowly pour in the cornmeal. You may still get a few lumps and that's okay.
Reduce heat and simmer until thick, about 3 - 4 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in the bacon.
Cover and chill overnight.
You can also make it without the bacon.
