We love Quiche type pies and this is the one I put together for the family this morning. Yummy Swiss cheese and bacon, what's not to love?

Ingredients

1 - 9
inch unbaked pie crust
1 c
cream
1/2 c
milk
6 slice
bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
1/4 c
thin sliced shallots
1 1/2 c
shredded, swiss cheese
4
eggs, beaten
1 tsp
worcestershire sauce
3/4 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
fresh cracked black pepper
parsley
and bacon bits to garnish, optional

Step-By-Step

1preheat oven to 400 degree F.

When cooking bacon, add the shallots to the grease as well and cook just until translucent. Remove and drain.
2Place crumbled bacon, shallots and cheese in the bottom of pie crust, evenly.

3Scald milk and cream. Whisk scalded milk into the eggs.

Add spices and Worcestershire sauce, whisk in well.

Pour egg mixture over the cheese & bacon in the crust.
4Place pie on baking sheet, and bake for 10 minutes.

Reduce heat to 300 and continue baking for another 30 minutes or until a knife inserted near center of pie comes out clean.
5I then sprinkle with some real bacon bits and parsley.

Let rest for 10 minutes before cutting.
