I combined recipes from two friends to come up with this rich version. It is a special treat for Christmas morning or breakfast for overnight guests.

Ingredients For overnight stuffed french toast casserole

1 cbutter

2 cbrown sugar, firmly packed

1/4 clight corn syrup
-
1country french bread loaf
-
28-oz. pkgs. cream cheese, softened

1/3 cbrown sugar, firmly packed

1 tspcinnamon
-
6eggs
-
1 1/2 chalf and half
-
1 tspvanilla
-
1/4 tspsalt
How To Make overnight stuffed french toast casserole

1Grease bottom of 9x13 pan.

2Cook butter, 2 cups brown sugar, and corn syrup over medium heat until mixture is well blended and bubbly. Pour half of sauce into bottom of pan.

3Cut bread into 1" slices and arrange in pan over sauce.

4Mix cream cheese, 1/3 cup brown sugar, and cinnamon until well blended. Dollop between and on top of bread slices.

5Mix together eggs, half and half, vanilla, and salt. Pour over bread.

6Pour remaining sauce over all.

7Cover and refrigerate overnight.

8Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes, uncovered, on baking sheet (for any possible boil over). Enjoy!
