Ham & Cheese Quiche

This recipe came from my daughter-in-laws mother and it is very good. I like serving this for brunch whenever we have overnight guests.

pie shell, thawed
2 c
shredded sharp cheese
1 c
chopped or cubed ham, your choice of ham
1/4 c
finelly chopped onion
2 large
eggs, beaten
1/2 c
1/2 c
evaporated milk


1Preheat oven to 375. Rub bottom of pie shell with either a little egg white or a little milk to prevent it from being soggy.
2Toss cheese, ham & onion together & spoon into pie shell.
3Whisk together the remaining ingredients until well blended & pour over ham/cheese mixture.
4Bake at 375 for approximately 45 min to 1 hr (depending on your oven) or until golden brown & knife inserted in center comes out clean.
5Note: You can also use cooked & crumbled sausage &/or bacon. You can also throw in a little bell pepper, spinach, mushrooms, etc. if you want.
